How we started, and where we're going.
Our Story
What started as an Instagram account shouting about period poverty quickly grew into a nationwide charity fighting for menstrual equity that was donating millions of period products a year.
The Period Place is proof that when you believe in something, and yourself, you can change the bloody world.
Activation on K Rd that told stories of period poverty in NZ
The OG model - it was basic, but worked at the start.
Our first market - it was brilliant, but took a lot of effort
The Positive Periods petition was accepted by the Government
1:1 workshops for new Impact Partners with TPP team

We donated a pair of period swimmers to each student at ROI

Our Future
Thanks to a new partnership that doubles our nationwide period product distribution points, this year sees us getting back to what we do best - being LOUD!
With multiple educational campaigns to reduce stigma, events and activations across the motu, new partnerships, and preparation for 2025's big research project on menstrual health in Aotearoa, we're going to need more support. Get in touch if you want to be a part of the change.
